Born on July 13th 1918 in Peterborough, Cambridgeshire, Larry Taylor appeared in two episodes of The Prisoner, first as a Gypsy Man in 'Many Happy Returns' and as Mexican Sam in 'Living In Harmony'. Interestingly, for his appearance as Mexican Sam, Larry's voice was dubbed by Robert Rietty. Larry had previously starred in the Danger Man episode 'Have a Glass of Wine' playing thug 'Henn'.

Taylor made his screen debut with an unaccredited role in Basil Dearden's 1946 Ealing Studio's film The Captive Heart. Among his film credits were roles in Lady In The Fog, Sea Devils, Robbery Under Arms, The Sheriff of Fractured Jaw, Two Way Stretch, Swiss Family Robinson, Zulu, Kaleidoscope and Chitty Chitty Bang Bang. Larry was also stuntman on several films, including Zulu and Shout At The Devil, in which he was Lee Marvin's stunt double.

On television he appeared in Danger Man, The Baron, The Avengers, Department S, Randall & Hopkirk and Jason King.

Taylor died in Johannesburg, South Africa from a heart attack, aged 85 on August 6th 2003.
